A new limited edition from Fortis for Baselworld this year: 500 of these will be made in blue and 500 in orange.
At 40mm (looks like it would be bigger, don’t you think?) and in stainless steel, it has an AR-coated domed sapphire crystal, a sapphire display back, and water resistance to 50 meters.
Movement is the automatic Fortis caliber F-2020: 47 jewels, 28,800 vph and an Incabloc shock absorber. Woot!

I must say though that after the initial shock it’s starting to grow on me (although I don’t know I’m really a ‘blue strap’ person).
Featuring GMT, chronograph and alarm functions – with separate spring barrels – this 43mm is made from stainless steel.

Fortis celebrate their one hundred year anniversary next year.
They’re commemorating the event with these limited edition (500 piece) ‘Mysterious Planets’ models.
Available with a blue or black dial these simple looking pieces hide a very cool ‘jumping hour’ movement.
Cool because, as the ‘planets’ rotate around the dial, the jumping hour jumps to appear behind each planet hour by hour (check out the picture if that doesn’t immediately make sense).
The case is stainless steel, with water resistance to 200m.
You can choose a rubber of leather strap and depending on your option you’ll have more or less change from $5500 for one of these.
I knew that it’s precisely the point of this watch, but it would drive you crazy constantly trying to wipe the ‘condensation’ off of this one, don’t you think? :-)

Frosting the glass face gives a surprising element, resembling the condensation of an iced vodka glass, just out of the freezer. This is an interesting piece, as the Calibre F2014 movement allows the display of the day in either English or German, which is pretty neat (if you speak English or German that is).
