Mido All Dial 10th Anniversary

Published by in Mido on July 5th, 2012 | No Comments »

This 10th anniversary piece from Mido is rather nice.  Made in a run of 1000 pieces, it’s a 42mm model in stainless steel.

It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and water resistance to 100 meters. There’s an engraving of the Coliseum engraved on the case-back (similar to the original I believe).

Movement is the COSC-certified automatic ETA caliber 2836-2 with 25 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 38 hours.

Mido Baroncelli III Lady Chronometer

We’re on a bit of a roll here with ladies watches, so let’s go for another one: this is the rather posh sounding Mido Baroncelli III.

This is actually Mido’s first foray into chronometers for ladies: the Baroncelli III Lady Chronometer is equipped with a high precision, COSC-certified automatic movement.

This one comes in a 33 mm, 316L stainless steel case.

You also get a sapphire crystal and 50m of water resistance.

As well as the black-dial model pictured there’s a silver version too (which I think I prefer, but then I am no lady, so what do I know?!).

Mido Multifort Chronograph

[Press Release] Swiss watch brand Mido enriches its Multifort range with a new chronograph model. A black dial, embellished with delicately fine-brushed small plates, endows this chronograph with an understated and elegant style. The white Super Luminova® treatment creates an impressively luminous effect. The indexes marking each hour add a resolutely contemporary touch to this model. Sturdy, reliable and aesthetically pleasing, it has all the typical features of the Multifort line.

This new model is an extension of the Multifort range and was inspired by the streamline style. This American design movement which emerged at the start of the thirties was a major turning point in the creation of products. In 1934, led by Georges Schaeren, the engineers and technicians at Mido developed the Multifort. Dependable, robust and resistant with real allure, these qualities made it a reference for reliability and high standards as soon as it was launched on the market.

The new Multifort, and more particularly its chronograph model featuring an ETA Valjoux 7750 movement with many refined details and subtle features, clearly confirms the watchmaker’s liking for that age. With a diameter of 44 mm, a thickness of 14.50 mm and water-resistance up to 10 bar (100 m), the new Multifort stands out as an important model with distinctive aesthetic features.

The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal reveals a black dial embellished with delicately fine-brushed small plates. The indexes, which mark the hours, add a resolutely contemporary touch to this timepiece. The white Super Luminova treatment creates an impressively luminous effect and makes the time particularly easy to read, even when night has fallen. The stainless steel bracelet gives this chronograph an elegant and sporty touch.

Lovers of luxury watchmaking will also enjoy the opportunity to admire the magic of a self-winding movement manufactured to the highest standards through the crystal fitted on the case back. They will also surely appreciate the oscillating weight with its Geneva stripes decoration, the blued screws and finely circular-grained bridges.
