This year is, of course, the fiftieth anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s historic and pioneering trip into space.
We’ve already seen Fortis’s tribute to the Russian hero, but let’s just say that that was merely the appetizer!
For the main course, BLU (Bernhard Lederer Universe), have released their own fantastic tourbillon tribute to the man.
The manually wound in-house movement has a power reserve of 80 hours.
The case is in platinum and measures 42mm wide by 15mm thick. There’s a magnifying glass on the top to enable you to examine the dial details and the tourbillon in more detail.
With the magnifying glass the watch is about 46.5mm wide, and the sapphire crystal is highly domed.
The watch comes on a black alligator strap with a platinum buckle and is limited to only 50 pieces.
Check out the video for more details on Gagarin’s historical trip along with some highlights of this beautiful timepiece.
