[Press Release] Fendi horology unveils the newest generation of Crazy Carats Swiss made watches just an year after the launch of the one innovative, patented Crazy Carats Collection. The first line — easily one of the most unique in the world – was a blend of haute horology, luxe couture and elegance.

These intriguing watches feature gemstone indexes that, via a revolutionary patented system, can be rotated to reveal a diff erent gemstone at will.

The ingenious technical feat was four years in the development stages and has fast become a coveted piece for celebrities and consumers globally as it turns the glamorous, ultra feminine timepiece into a masterpiece of art and technology for the wrist.

These newest pieces include a line of Limited Edition Crazy Carats in Fendi colors inspired by the Spring/Summer 2011 runway collection. This series features models with genuine crocodile straps in Fendi colors with coordinated colored dials and a solid 18-karat yellow gold bezel. Built in a limited, numbered edition of just 50 pieces per color combination, this luxurious line is available only in the 38mm size, with the watch’s limited edition and serial number engraved on the caseback.

The color combinations are blue strap with turquoise dial, green strap with honey dial, yellow strap with chocolate dial, and black strap with blue dial. The gemstones used in the rolling stone mechanism are topaz red, green and glacier blue. As is typical of the Crazy Carats line, there is a single stationary diamond at 12:00. By turning the crown at 4:00, the wearer turns the gemstones in the indexes, thereby choosing the color story to be displayed at any given time.

Novelties also several include Precious versions of Crazy Carats – all with pave’ diamond center dials. Each of the alluring Crazy Carats Precious watches features a precious gemstone inner chapter ring, bezel and case set with either white diamonds, mysterious black diamonds, pink sapphires, blue sapphires, or rich red rubies in an exclusive Fendi design.

Each of these pieces will also be produced on order. All diamonds on the case and bezel are Top Wesselton VVS qualityEvery Fendi Crazy Carats watch is water resistant to 30 meters, is fitted with a Swiss-made quartz movement and comes with a two-year warranty.

Every watch is equipped with a sapphire crystal and sapphire caseback with apertures for viewing the changing of the gemstones – a mesmerizing account of 33 gems as they waltz through time. Each of the marker gemstones is individually cut and polished with 57 facets for scintillating color and light display before it is set in the specially created 18-karat white gold rolling stone setting.
