Yeslam GVA 738 [Baselworld 2012]

Speaking of brands you may never have heard of ..

Yeslam, a Swiss brand from a Middle Eastern businessman (yes, Yeslam), actually produce a range of goods – bags, sunglasses, fragrances.

And, yes(lam), watches too.

Prior timepieces in their range have – to my mind anyway – veered too much towards the ‘fashion-first’ direction.

This GVA 738 is a cracker though.  It looks great, but has plenty of ‘real watch’ about it too :-)

Only 30 of these will be made unfortunately – 41.5mm in titanium.

There’s an AR-coated sapphire crystal, a sapphire display back and water resistance to a bath-worthy 30 meters.

You’ll have a choice of dial colours – pink gold, yellow gold, or galvanised black.

Powering the watch is a Swiss automatic Technotime caliber TT738.04.  This has 43 jewels and double barrels for a very respectable 120 hour power reserve.

Complications include retrograde date and power reserve indicator.

(as an aside, Technotime seem to be doing alright in the light of ETA closing ranks, don’t you think?).

Any thoughts? Would you wear a Yeslam?
