[Press Release]
OCEAN7 watch company invested two years in design and production to bring the concept of a future tech/retro dive watch to the market in the form of the exciting new LM-5. The LM-5 represents quintessential 1960’s panache fused with 21st century manufacturing technology. It’s the Lamborghini Miura of dive watches, composed of compound curves that look sexy from any angle and in any light. The LM-5 features a curved sapphire bezel with embedded luminous markers, 42mm polished surgical steel case, Swiss automatic movement and is handmade in Switzerland.
The LM-5’s domed sapphire bezel is complemented by a curved sapphire crystal. OCEAN7 CEO Mitchell Feig spent a year sourcing a manufacturer for the bezel alone. “I felt like Indiana Jones while trying to find a manufacturer to produce the bezel. I was repeatedly told how difficult it was to get a sapphire bezel right; most manufacturers couldn’t formulate and produce one that can stand up to the rough wear that a watch receives. The LM-5 was designed to look great in any environment and can take whatever a user throws at it,” he says. Sapphire bezels are more scratch resistant than conventional aluminum bezel inserts and will not age or fade.
The LM-5 is designed in the United States and hand assembled in Switzerland of the highest quality components available.
