Aerowatch Les Grandes Classiques Venus 203

[Press Release] The new “Les Grandes Classiques Venus 203″ portfolio showcases a watch with a graceful balance between technical finesse and aesthetic appeal. With a diameter of 41 mm, the exceptional timepiece embodies all the attributes of true watchmaking artistry, perfectly uniting functionality and design.

The subtly textured dial epitomizes the sleek and uncluttered styling of the watch in a mystical way, highlighting its baton hour markers and hands. Clarity reigns with the moon-phase indication at 6 o’clock as well as the day and month displays just beneath the maker’s mark in the top half of the dial. The polished, screwed case underscores the noble lineage of this fine timekeeping instrument.

For watch enthusiasts, the inner life of this classic and timeless stainless steel watch is a feast for the eyes. The observation of the heartbeat of the famous Swiss movement through the display back is an endearing experience. Developed by Ateliers Venus SA in Moutier during the 1950s, the beautifully decorated caliber remains a paragon of Swiss horological artisanship.

Limited to a series of 300 watches, this rare masterpiece comes with a supple leather strap in black or brown with a fold-over clasp.

Jean-SeÅLbastien Bolzli, who is responsible for marketing and sales, says: “For the first time in our company’s history, we have the opportunity to proudly present a watch with a Venus 203 caliber. Our objective was to debut a timepiece that harmoniously combines traditional watchmaking prowess with contemporary panache, reflecting the creativity at the core of our company’s passion. We are very satisfied with the result. And the fact that the price/performance ratio is right corresponds to our company philosophy.”

Aerowatch Renaissance

Alright, one more before I crash out for tonight!

A watch that looks like a clock (a Wok?) from Aerowatch.

That’s a good thing by the way – this ‘Renaissance’ looks great.

It’s a 44mm piece in stainless steel 18kt rose gold PVD.

It has a sapphire crystal, a display back, and is water resistant to 50 meters.

Movement is the Swiss manual-wind ETA caliber UNITAS 6498 with 17 jewels, 18,000 vph and a power reserve of 48 hours.

Nice!

And now I am off to unpack a little before jumping into bed.

More tomorrow – promise :-)

Aerowatch Hommage 1910 – Chrono Auto

[Press Release] This year, Swiss Watch manufacturer AEROWATCH SA presents its new line of timepieces dedicated to the world of aviation: the “Hommage 1910” collection.

Founded in 1910 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, AEROWATCH saw itself as a symbol of modernity. The choice of an English name was an early pointer to the firm’s international ambitions and contained a reference to aviation, a world about to “take off” in a big way.

With its “Chrono-Auto” model, the family business pays homage to a century of uninterrupted watchmaking activity and creates a link with its roots.

To house its new model, AEROWATCH has chosen a light, 44 mm diameter, polished titanium case with a domed sapphire crystal. Through the use of this material, the timepiece weighs 40 grams less than a similar steel model and has a total weight (movement included) of 70 grams.

This classic case with its timeless style displays certain archetypes of 1910 inspired by its pocket watch ancestors. On a technical note, the decorated self-winding movement is visible through a transparent case-back.

The black dial of the “Chrono-Auto” is inspired by the instrument panels of civil and military aircraft. The luminescent numerals and hands can even be read in darkness. Two white counters totalling up the minutes and the hours contrast with the black dial setting. The black leather pilot’s strap has two polished steel rivets. White visible stitching further accentuates the sports-chic character of the “Chrono-Auto”. This exclusive timepiece limited to 200 pieces is available from the brand’s official retailers.
