Alexander Shorokhoff Portuguese Chronograph

It’s not entirely clear why, but Alexander Shorokhoff has been been inspired to create a tribute to Portugal.

Perhaps he likes Peri-peri chicken?

Anyway, whatever the reason, this Portuguese Chronograph is a 43.5mm piece in stainless steel.

It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and a sapphire display back.

Water resistance is to 50 meters.

You’ll get a choice of either a Russian manual-wind movement or a Swiss Dubois Depraz caliber 2030DD with hand engraved rotor.

Alexander Shorokhoff Peter Tchaikovsky Big Alarm [Baselworld 2012]

This is such a brilliant but simple concept I’m surprised this hasn’t been done before.  Perhaps it has – got any other examples?

Sorry, the concept … at the press of a button this piece transforms from watch to alarm clock by virtue of its pop-up case.

Beautiful!

It’s a 40mm piece, in stainless steel. You get double sapphire crystals and water resistance to 30 meters.

Movement is the Russian caliber 2612AS with alarm complication. The bridges are gold or rhodium plated, and the screws are blue-dyed.

Do want :-)

Alexander Shorokoff Alzenau

Alexander Shorokoff switch from ‘wacky‘ to something more traditional with the limited edition Alzenau.

There are just 60 pieces being made in gold, and a further 610 in steel.

The case measures 43mm. It has a sapphire crystal and a display back.

Water resistance is to 50 meters.

Movement is the Russian manual-wind caliber 3105AS.

Alexander Shorokhoff Lady Avantgarde

Alexander Shorokhoff watches are nothing if not eclectic.

From a tribute to Kostya Tszyu to this, the slightly mad ‘Lady Avantgarde’.

This one’s limited to 500 pieces and was unveiled at the recent Munich watch event.

Other than that, it’s all a little mysterious.

More when we have it :-)

Alexander Shorokoff Chronograph – Kostya Tszyu

Alexander Shorokoff has issued a 270-piece limited edition tribute to Russian/Australian boxer Kostya Tszyu (pronounced a bit like ‘zoo’ in case you were wondering).

Movement is the redoubtable Valjoux 7750.

The 42.9mm stainless steel watch features an outline of Mr Tszyu on both the dial and the rotor.

The left side of the dial shows which one of the 270 pieces is yours.

Oh, and the bezel looks like it was ‘inspired’ by the VC Overseas range doesn’t it?

Price will be around 4,700 Euros.

Alexander Shorokhoff Avantgarde

Now – a quickie (ooerr).

Previously at a very exclusive (read: expensive) end of the market, this year Alexander Shorokhoff is planning to open the brand to a wider public with a new ‘younger’ product line.

Named ‘Avantgarde’, the new models’ prices are very competitive despite still being well-specced, including: partially engraved movements, antireflective sapphire glass, high grade stainless steel case, blue-dyed hands and large-scale assembling by highly qualified specialists.

Under the slogan “Performed By Mastery“, the first models of the Avantgarde collection will be available in certain specialised shops from April 2011.
