Vasto Secolo Automatic [Baselworld 2012]

Not knowing much of anything about Vasto I had to do a quick check on this one before posting.

Turns out that despite the Italian sounding name, Vasto are actually a Chinese brand.

No crappy $2 digital junk from them though, thankfully.

The Secolo Automatic is powered by an ETA caliber 2846 movement. This has 25 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 42 hours.

The watch itself is 42mm in size from stainless steel. It has double sapphire crystals and is water resistant to 50 meters.

The bezel comes in steel or in 18kt rose gold.

The Ivory color dial has 8 diamond markers.

Not to my personal taste (although I do like the day/date treatment), but I’m sure it will have appeal to many others.

The tourbillon bridge shaped like a treble clef will appeal to aficionados of both fine timepieces and classical music.
