With Baselworld underway, SIHH and GTE are now long forgotten.
But if your brain does stretch back as far as January of this year, you might recall the RGM Pennsylvania Tourbillon that we featured at that time.
RGM’s Pennsylvania Tourbillion has a list price of $75,000 and is the first American-made tourbillon to be introduced and manufactured in the U.S.A.
Very nice it is too.
Well, said watch has recently won the 2011/2010 Alibre Design Contest, a peer-reviewed competition that recognizes significant achievement in three-dimensional computer aided-design (3D CAD).
More information on the Alibre Design Contest and the Pennsylvania Tourbillion, including a video of the watch manufacturing process, is available at www.alibre.com/success/designcontest2011.asp.
Congratulations to Benoît Barbé, Roland Murphy, Rich Baugh and all the team at RGM.
