In the first of what may be a very regular, or very irregular, series (depending on how observant I am and how many others would like to contribute), I present the first ‘Clocks In Public Places’ post!
This one is outside the Sebel Hotel on Queen Street in Melbourne, Australia.
Written underneath the clock is the motto ‘Moneo et munio’, which means ‘I advise and defend’.
I couldn’t find too much more info on this one (there’s no manufacturer I could see), but if anyone knows more, please let me know.
I’ll try and add whatever details I can Google for posts in this series.
Last two things: sorry for the poor pic – it was crazily bright behind the clock and there’s only so much you can do with an iPhone :-)
And .. don’t forget you too can contribute to this series. Just email your ‘Clock in Public Place’ to webcontact at winderz dot com with as much detail as you’re able to share (even just the location please).
The good thing about doing this .. it makes you a lot more observant of your surroundings – especially as these things are usually high up!
