Graham Chronofighter Oversize New Generation

A raft of options for this model if you’re into big.  Black, grey, black forest, black Sahara, grey steel, and Amazonia green to be exact.

Actually, not outrageously so in the case department – 47mm in in stainless steel, or steel black PVD – but as per many other Graham’s offerings the start/stop mechanism beefs it up somewhat.

The crystal is an AR-coated sapphire, with a smoked sapphire display back.  Water resistance is 100 meters.

Power comes via an automatic Graham caliber G1747 with 25 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 48 hours.

Graham Chronofighter 1695

I dare say a lot of people are drawn to the look of Graham watches in the same way you might be to a man growing carrots out of his nose: a mixture of morbid fascination tinged with a healthy dose of ‘wtf?’.

Put down your vegetable peelers for now though – this Chronofighter 1695 is an absolute beauty.

Aside from the signature Graham crown-lock, this is a reasonably sized piece at 42mm, in 18kt Rose Gold.

Round the back is a lovely engraving of what some might claim to be the home of time-keeping, the Greenwich Observatory in London. There’s a small peep-hole into the balance wheel mechanism too.

Movement is the automatic Graham caliber G1745 (based on an ETA movement).

This has 25 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 48 hours.

Now that you have this fluffy kitten piece firmly in your mind, whatever you do, do not look at this one!

Graham London Chronofighter Oversize Mansory

Graham London has teamed up with German luxury car tweaker Mansory to produce the suitably un-subtle ‘Chronofighter Oversize Mansory’.

Perfect for wearing whilst blatting along in your pink Bentley Continental :-)

Limited to just 50 pieces, this is a 47mm watch – which in itself isn’t outrageous, save for the crown lock on the left of the dial.

Made in steel black PVD and carbon fibre, you get an AR-coated sapphire and water resistance to 100 meters.

Movement is the Swiss automatic Graham caliber G1734 with 27 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 48 hours.

MSRP is 8,900 Euros.

Graham Chronofighter Oversize Referee

For the third consecutive year, Swiss luxury watch maker Graham London will be the Official Timekeeper of the 2011 RBS 6 Nations Rugby Union Championship.

As Official Timekeeper of the Championship, Graham provides all RBS 6 Nations match referees with dedicated Graham chronographs [lucky refs - ed].

The Chronofighter Oversize Referee was developed using codes from the RBS 6 Nations Championship.

The 6 squads’ colours are featured in the second counter at 3 o’clock.

The official logo is also on the case back.

The model comes in a titanium light weight case.  The white (or black!) dial emphasises the 30 double-graduated minutes counter at 6 o’clock.

Thanks to its internal 40 minutes graduation, it measures the halves of each match accurately. The red lever and black bezel is covered with a soft-touch rubber. The left drive lever mechanism provides smooth operation. The right hand operates the system in a split second with the chronograph under full ‘thumb control’.

Available in two models (Black & White), in limited edition of 250 pieces each, the suggested retail price for the Chronofighter Oversize Referee is 7950 CHF.

Super long press release follows –

[Press Release] “Welcome on board.” Graham London is on a mission.

A long flight back to the very origins.

No, not all the way back to George Graham, the father of the chronograph, the genius who inspires the brand, but back to another world none the less.

“This is your captain speaking.” Today’s destination is the world of the first and iconic Chronofighter, the Chronofighter Fortress.

“Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be bumpy ride.” We are about to travel through time. Our destination is the skies of the 1940s. A dangerous place, even for the aces of the RAF, the British Royal Air Force.

The Chronofighter Fortress pays homage to the watches worn by the aircrews of RAF Bomber Command.
