Vacheron Constantin Kalla Haute Couture à Pampilles

[Press Release] Vacheron Constantin revives the 19th century tradition of “secret” watches that feature a small cover which has to be opened to read the time.

Far more than just a watch, the Kalla Haute Couture à Pampilles is an entirely handmade bracelet that is extremely supple as a result of a goldsmith technique known as emmaillement (Parisian mesh). Emmaillement reduces the white gold material to a minimum in order to showcase the curtain of 28.70 carats of brilliant and flame cut diamonds, as well as drape sensually around the wrist. The Kalla Haute Couture à Pampilles is fitted with the manual-winding Calibre 1005 with the crown positioned on the back of the movement.

Created by craftsmen for whom timekeeping is not a priority, this jewellery watch is dressed in brilliant and flame cut diamonds that give time a new personality. Each set of precious stones is selected with meticulous care to ensure that it complies with the strictest criteria regarding purity, colour and cut to guarantee perfect uniformity. Entirely hand-made and exceptionally supple, a technique known as emmaillement reduces the material to a minimum so that the diamonds cover the whole piece, including the clasp.

Montblanc Haute Joaillerie White Nights

[Press Release] SAINT PETERSBURG, Russia – Ballerinas unveil the Montblanc Haute Joaillerie White Nights Timepiece during the Montblanc New Voices Award 2011.

Celebrating the sophisticated elegance and the rich cultural heritage of St Petersburg, Montblanc presents a piece unique from the Collection Villeret 1858. Inspiration for the Montblanc Haute Joaillerie White Nights timepiece is drawn from the unique natural phenomenon that occurs every June, when the sun never sets on St Petersburg and bathes the historic city in a glowing silver light.

The Seconde Authentique Haute Joaillerie White Nights timepiece shines with equal luminosity, adorned with 208 small diamonds on its face, 160 diamonds on the exterior of the frame and 38 diamonds on the crown. Pure and bright like the stars in the Russian sky, the white exterior of this timepiece hides a manually-wound movement made in the greatest Swiss tradition at Montblanc’s Manufacture in Villeret.

The three-hand watch with subsidiary seconds face is a statement piece of precision and beauty. Every detail mirrors St Petersburg’s unforgettable spirit.

The cap of the crown is a Montblanc Diamond in the shape of the brand’s star emblem, another reference to the unique lights enjoyed during the summer months by this city.

The timepiece was unveiled at the annual White Nights Festival in St Petersburg this past June.

The prestigious cultural festival celebrates music, opera and ballet and Montblanc honoured two young opera singers with the Montblanc New Voices Award 2011: Sergei Semishkur and Mikhail Petrenko.

Girard-Perregaux Cat’s Eye Tourbillon Haute Joaillerie

Something flashy for the ‘ladies’ :-)  This is Girard P’s Cat’s Eye Tourbillon BlingShiny3000.

The case is in 18kt white gold and measures 32mm x 38mm. It is set with 155 baguette-cut diamonds (12.97 ct). The dial has 106 baguette-cut diamonds (4.20 ct). The crown is set with 12 baguette-cut diamonds and 1 rose-cut diamond (0.58 ct).

The crystal is an AR-coated sapphire and the caseback is secured with four screws.

It is water resistant to 30 meters.

Movement is the Swiss manual-wind Girard-Perregaux in-house caliber GP09700-0006 with 20 jewels, 21,600 vph and a power reserve of 72 hours.

Grey satin strap with white gold pin buckle. It is set with 13 baguette-cut diamonds (0.56 ct) or a folding clasp in white gold, set with 14 baguette-cut diamonds (0.62 ct).

A new ‘secret’ watch from DeLaneau.

The dial is hidden under the dome of diamonds or rubies and can be revealed by simply sliding the dome to the left or the right.

The Magic Haute Joaillerie is powered by a manual winding movement.

Available in two models, the Magic Haute Joaillerie set with diamonds or the Magic Haute Joaillerie set with rubies and diamonds are presented as pairs.
